Four Trans traces its roots back to 1953, when the Fourtoulakis family established its first road transport service. From domestic road freight to international routes, specialised dry bulk transportation and complex industrial projects, each milestone reflects the company's continuous evolution.

1953

The beginning

Three generations ago, the Fourtoulakis family established its first road transport service, initially transporting wood and coal throughout Greece before expanding into food products.

1959

Growing the fleet

The company purchased the fourth semi-truck to arrive in Greece. Together with vehicles acquired later, it served the country's largest dairy factory, transporting milk from dairy producers.

1964

Growing the fleet

The company purchased the sixth semi-truck to arrive in Greece. Together with vehicles acquired later, it served the country's largest dairy factory, transporting milk from dairy producers.

1969

Growing the fleet

The company purchased the fourth semi-truck to arrive in Greece. Together with vehicles acquired later, it served the country's largest dairy factory, transporting milk from dairy producers.

1972

New industrial partnerships

Four Trans began cooperating with cable manufacturer Fulgor SA, transporting products nationwide, while also serving as a main road transportation contractor for some of the largest forwarders of the period.

1974

Beyond Greece and Europe

A regular transport line was established from Greece and Europe to Middle Eastern destinations including Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE.

1985

Entering dry bulk transport

The company entered the dry bulk transport market with its own fleet of silo trailers and trucks, initially serving some of the largest Greek flour mills.

1990

Four Trans is incorporated

Four Trans was incorporated as a company specialising in the bulk transport of powder products, securing collaborations with major flour mills, pasta factories and other food-product manufacturers in Greece.

1996

Expanding beyond food

Following success in dry bulk food transportation, Four Trans invested in new silo trailers for the transport of chemicals and raw materials to manufacturers and factories.

2004

Supporting the full material cycle

Responding to market developments, the company obtained permits for the transport of non-hazardous waste, enabling it to manage transportation from the supply of raw materials through to the collection of resulting waste.

2009

Psytallia transport project

Four Trans became the first company to start the transportation project for the dry sludge thermal drying unit of the Psytallia Wastewater Treatment Plant, including the initial operational setup and overall organisation and management of the project for both manufacturer and consignee/receiver.

2010

Investing through challenging times

Despite the beginning of the financial crisis in Greece, Four Trans invested in renewing and modernising its fleet to reduce costs, improve services and continue rewarding the trust built through long-term customer partnerships.

2012

Pet Coke transport operations

Four Trans' long experience in dry bulk transportation, credibility and service quality led customers to entrust the company with organising and commencing transport operations for the new Pet Coke plant of Hellenic Petroleum in Elefsina.

Service built on experience

From 2012 to today, Four Trans has continued to build on decades of specialised transport know-how, combining experience, flexibility and a customer-focused approach to deliver reliable and efficient logistics solutions.
